Amputee Veteran Brings The Crowd To A Roar On Dancing With The Stars

June 25, 2015

Noah Galloway, a contestant on the TV show Dancing with the Stars, blew the judges away when he performed the tango, but nothing compares to this.

The song of choice this time was Toby Keith’s “American Soldier”, a selection that has personal meaning to Mr. Galloway.

After the attacks on September 11, 2001, Galloway voluntarily joined the military. Four years later, he had to have his left arm and leg amputated after being struck by a roadside bomb. Although initially stricken by depression, Galloway decided to accept his disability and live life to the fullest. His current motto: “No excuses.”

His experience led him to this sentimental dance with partner Sharna Burgess, which made the crowd roar as the dance continued.

Judge Julianne Hough tried to hold back her tears as she praised the veteran for his courage.

“We all have things that we look at and we don’t like about ourselves, but for you to have something physical and you come out here and do what you do and astonish us every single week, you help us to keep going,” she said.
